Homemade Orange Triple Sec Liqueur Recipe

I’ve obsessed with Lemon Drop Martinis ever since I ordered one from Top of the Mark on a lovely afternoon this June. Almost all of of the recipes require Triple Sec or Grand Marnier. Rather than making a BevMo run, I made my own. I combined vodka infusion techniques with simple syrup that took a little bit of time and patients, but overall was not very difficult to make. Materials and instructions after the jump!

How to Make a Gin Smash

As previously mentioned, we had a little cocktail party at my house last weekend. I’ve long been a connoisseur of gin (aka I drink a lot of gin) and I heart gin cocktails. Starbucks Vanilla DoubleShot Copycat Recipe
Recently I’ve become, oh lets just say a little addicted to Starbucks DoubleShot vanilla flavor. It started innocently enough, on a weekend trip up to Point Reyes, my friend and I stopped at 7 Eleven for some refreshments and I was hooked instantly. It’s such a silky mix of cream, coffee, and flavoring. Soon, I was buying them at corner stores at 10pm or whenever I needed a pick me up. For $2.69 a pop, it was an expensive habit.
I knew I couldn’t afford to keep buying DoubleShots at such an alarming rate, so I’ve come up with a copycat recipe for the vanilla flavor that I so enjoy. At just .81 cents a serving, it’s a full 60% less than the store bought DoubleShots−a much more affordable habit. It’s also comprable in calorie count to the Light variety, around 150 calories per serving. Recipe after the jump:
